Kimberly's Anniversary Blog Hop - Jan. 31st - Feb 1st, 2012

Hello Friends and Welcome to my Blog! :)

Photobucket

Today we are celebrating Kimberly's Blog Anniversary ...Happy Anniversary Kimberly and I wish you many more years of fun, creativity and blog happenings !! :) So if you happened upon my blog please start with Kimberly's blog and because I don't want you missing a thing...and if you are here from Kimberly then you are in the right place! :)

What is a blog hop without candy! so make sure you comment!  Now lets get this party started and check out the rules and all the info below! :) have fun hopping! :)
Welcome to Kimberly's Blogaversary. I'm tired of winter and thought it was time for a "spring fling"!!! All I asked for the crafters was to do something that reflects birth which is what spring means to me in pastel and floral colors!

We have a wonderful group of sponsors that want to have "Spring" too ..... I would ask that each of you take the time to stop and visit each one of the sponsors.  They have graciously donated their talent for this hop.

Creative Kut ~ $10 gift Certificate (http://www.creativekuts.com/ )

KaDoodle Bug Designs ~ $20 Gift Certificate (http://www.kadoodlebugdesigns.com/ )
Mickie Burks Osman ~ a paper pack and some stamping goodies
Lucy Kelleher ~ Close To My Heart ~ December Stamp of the Month (http://love2createitall.blogspot.com) Nikki Schiltz Calmes ~
Paper Piecings by Nikki ~ $25 credit to Paper Peicings by Nikki (www.paperpiecingsbyNikki.com ) Scraptastical Kreations ~ $20 Gift Certificate (http://scraptasticalkreations.com/ )

There are a lot of great gardeners along the path, so this hop is two days, so, so sit back, relax and take your time browsing each garden. To be eligible for the blog candy, you must follow Kimberly’s blog.  Other bloggers may have additional requirements if they offer individual blog candy.

I don't want you to miss a single spring project and want you to start at the beginning of spring at Kimberly (http://scrappingrookie.blogspot.com/)
I can hardly believe I have been blogging and showcasing my crafts for a year now!!! I've grown just like spring and learned so much as I have traveled the crafting path.  I am sure you will be as impressed with the talent from these crafters as I am.

Suns
hine, Raindrop, and Rainbows and Flower
Now the only requirement she made was to have Theme ~ Spring/Colors are pastels to signify life, growth, spring (florals/paisley)

Here is my project:  I decided to do an altered frame of spring...of course I had to use my favorite color and I was lucky I had a frame in my stash...hope you like it and the recipe is below the picture. :)

My recipe:  I used a purple frame and then I glued down the pearl string with my Aleene's Tacky glue and then let it dry and then added the embellishment of flowers and butterflies...these flowers and butterflies were given to me from Shannon Leffew Keith (who makes wonderful flowers! and butterflies too!) and glued them to the frame to...to make them like they were flying around the flowers and wanting attention...hehe...the one butterfly in the left hand corner I attached to a glitter green cs punched out butterfly I love to use! gotta have bling and a butterfly punch...hehe...hope you enjoy smelling the flowers and seeing the butterflies. :)

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget the love and well wishes for Kimberly and remember "think spring" and have that "spring fling"!!
Your next stop along the way on the garden path is
: Lisa

PurpleFuntastick Creations Guest Designer - Tuesday Jan 30, 2012

Hello Friends and Welcome to my blog! :)

Today my wonderful guest designer Zenita Barnes is my guest and  when you see this reminds me of when I was a kid! hehe.... Please don't forget to stop by her blog and give her some love! :)

Now check out below the project and recipe:

Wow!! Where did January 2012 go? I can’t believe that today is the last day of January, it went so fast!! This New Year is going to be great! I get to be guest designer today for my friend Kari here at Purplefantastick Blog!! I’ve been named to her Design team and another design team and so much more.
Kari asked me to go with a New Year’s theme on resolutions or changes or something like that. I thought long and hard about what to do and thought “I don’t like making resolutions because I know I won’t keep them.” So I decided to do a page that I can also put in my 52 weeks of Me Album that I’m working on. This page doesn’t have any pictures or really any journaling on it. The page has things that I love and like to do in 2012. I hope you try this sometime. Just doodle the things that you like on a piece of paper and put it in an album go back later and see if you still like those things or if you like more or less. It’s fun to see what you like at certain times of your life. As of January 12, 2012 I’ve started my last year of being in my 40’s and I plan on spending 2012 to the fullest and I hope you all come along with me and have FUN!!!! Hope you come on over and visit me at my blog sometime soon http://www.scrappinwithz.blogspot.com

Thanks for stopping by as always friends and have a blessed day! :)

If you stopped at my blog to just visit today, I don't want you to miss a single thing along the way and you need to start at the beginning which is two hares by the Cheshire cat who is grinning at you and that darn caterpiller smoking her pipe at http://slasewcraftiness.blogspot.com/!!!

Here is my project and I decided to make a really cute card for her since I am sending the frame to her from yesterday's party....got to love that "tea mouse" that well had a little too much tea and crumpets! :) hehe

( I am not sure why the pic is showing up cloudy but I have made several attempts to fix this...sorry not a very well done :( )

I used a glittered Navy cardstock from my stash and then I used a different coloring page as my digi and cut it out and I am trying to make it look a little 3-D by cutting out the teacup and saucer but you can't tell her and then I popped dotted it and I colored it with my water color pencils and then blinged it up with my stickles ands...then stamped the sentiment "happy birthday that I had and oh yeah...I used my white jelly roll pen to make the stitches on the rim of the card...and inside is a personal note...

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed your tea and crumpets and your next stop is not Twiddledee and Twiddledum but at Digi My World - http://digimyworld.blogspot.com/
Sad to say but the party must come to end and don't forget the love! :) Thanks for stopping by and be blessed! :)

Hugs, Love, Tea Cups and Crumpets (hehe),

Lynne's Mad Hatter 60th Birthday Tea Party Blog Hop - Jan. 28-29, 2012

Hello Friends and Welcome to My Blog! :)

Welcome to Lynne's Mad Hatter 60th Birthday Tea Party Blog Hop --- don't be late for this very important date and just to be sure you're not late, we're serving tea for not one day but two!! Warning, watch out for the Queen of Hearts as she is losing in the game of croquet and its off with your heads!!!!!  First off if you came from Jamie then you are in the right place but if you happened upon my blog please start with tea at Lynne's blog...don't want you missing the party! :) Now lets get this party started.

Rather than cake, crumpetts, tarts and cookies, we have blog candy and I mean some sweet treats that are being offered by our great sponsors:

I did a frame digi thingy...for I have no other name for it...hehe...but it is tribute to Lynne's sense of humor...I did a scene from the Alice In Wonderland story...the Tea Party...

My recipe is the fact I took an old broken frame and used the Red Carstock as the backdrop for my digi coloring page I made of the scene...I took it and cut it out and then I water colored it...then I stickled the main characters and few things to make it stand out and then I used the sentiment from my Frog Stamp collection from the Stamp of Life set that I had ...thought it was appropriate for "Hoppy Birthday" well...since we are hopping along with the Mad Hatter and his friends...hehe...I embossed with silver emboss powder and cut it out in a square and inked it up with Purple to stand out (my signature is purple of course...as mine...hehe) Then I decided to cut another square to fit the bling square to make Lynne the limelight and for the year of her celebration so when she receives it from me she will remember she was the star of the show...Happy Birthday my dear friend and sister! Love ya! :)

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed your tea and crumpets and your next stop is not Twiddledee and Twiddledum but  http://digimyworld.blogspot.com/
Remember to stop by again tomorrow and check out all the tea parties!!!  As always friends thanks for stopping by and sharing the love and now have fun drinking more tea or having crumpets! :)

Hi There! I'm Tina. I'm an energetic SAHM of two active Kiddos. My daughter Lizzy  is four and my son, Jimmy is three. I've been married to my Disabled Veteran Hubby for five and half years and we bought a new home in Marlboro Township, Ohio last Winter. I originally started scrapbooking 8 years ago when my hubby and I were just engaged and he was in Iraq. It's something I did with the other moms, wives & Girlfriends to pass the time while the guys were deployed.  Once I got married & Pregnant, I stopped crafting since I was so busy. I Just started crafting in June again and that's when I started my blog.I have now fallen in love with Stamping, card making and of course my new found obsession with Copic Markers. When I started back to crafting in June, I started with just Cricut Crafting, but found that I love coloring stamps & digi stamps. Everyday I'm learning! I just love seeing what others make and taking an idea & tweeking it to be my own! I do have a busy life outside of the Crafting world as well. I Organize a Large Mom's Group, I'm involved in a Book Study and also co-chair a Music Ministry. (My other passion besides crafting is SINGING!! Thanks again for joining us! I can't wait to craft with you all!!

Kimberly Pate
I am what I consider to be a Rookie at Paper Crafting, I have been doing this for just a year’s time.  As a web designer, creativity comes somewhat easy for me, and I try take that creativity and put it to use in my paper crafting. While I do mostly cards and scrapbook pages, I am learning to take baby steps out of my comfort zone and take on new challenges. Each new project teaches me something new.

When I am not creating,  I am an online instructor, a wife with a supportive husband, a grandmother of three and an avid sports fan.

I am a blessed wife to my dh Jason of 15 years. I am a mom to 9 wonderful children - Eight wonderful boys and one beautiful baby girl. I have been crafting since my son Liam was born in 2001, but when I got my first Baby Bug Cricut in 2010. My husband surprised me with it by setting it outside on our porch. He kept telling me that I needed to go outside but it was really cold. I was like No, it's cold out there. He said, okay. Finally, he brought it inside and said so you don't want this do you? I was so excited. I couldn't believe that he had gotten me a Baby Bug. Since then I have been an active part of the Cricut message board and have learned so much. My style is plainly me. I don't know what else to call it. I like to keep things simple yet, make them beautiful as well.
I love to make cards and projects to encourage others. I started Hope and Faith Cards Ministry along with my friend Rachelle,  this year just for that purpose.  The goal of the ministry is to encourage sick children and families providing them with Hope through faith. My favorite scripture verse is Jeremiah 29:11. It reminds me that God has a wonderful plan and purpose for our lives. We just have to be obedient and continue to walk in His ways.

In my spare time, I like to design websites, make others smile, spend time with my family, and read on my Kindle.

Susan

Hello everyone. I am so happy to be a part of this wonderful design team! My name is Susan Bermudez and I have been papercrafting for almost 4 years now. I started with rubber stamping for cards and then became a scrapbooker. Although new to papercrafting, I have been crafting since a very young age. I started sewing little felt frogs and then progressed to various types of needlework, then knitting, crocheting and quilting. Digital scrapbooking and Digital stamping have joined the ranks now.

I am the wife to my wonderful husband, Alex, who wholeheartedly supports all my creative endeavors. I am also mom to my 3 amazing two legged children (Melissa, Alex Jr and David) and our four legged one (Tina). I am also a grandma to Elijah who is 3. My family gives me the best scrapbooking material and I could not do it without their love and support. I hope you will come by my blog (Susana's Scrappin' Corner) and see what I have made recently. Until next time, I wish you a scrappingly good day :)

Lynne

Hi, I’m Lynne and I’m from Pittsburgh, PA. I’m new to the paper crafting world and only have been dabbling for almost 2 years when I purchased my first Cricut and I must admit it was love at first cut. Through much insisting, I started my first blog called Her Crafiness May 2011. I have crafted in many mediums ranging from doll sculpting, quilting, sewing, soft-dolls, embroidery, crochet, knitting, counted cross-stitch and machine-embroidery and now, lets add to my repertoire paper crafting. I prefer to make cards which my grandchildren love!!!! I have 6 grandchildren ranging from age 10 months to 6 years of age with our blended family! I’m now on permanent disability due to fibromyalgia and herniated discs just to name a few!!! Thanks Kari for adding me to your team as I’m thrilled to see what I can design and incorporate for you!

This is my first Design Team Project for Kari’s Purplies. Her instructions were simple – work outside our comfort zone. Now, that leaves a lot of room for design and creativity and believe it or not, it wasn’t an easy project!

Now, all little girls love paper dolls and I’m no exception to the rule! I also love the antics of doll making with eleanor peace bailey. I have a delightful pattern of her’s which is called  Exploring the Flat Doll and the Playful Use of the Figure and used this as my inspiration.

Hope you enjoyed my very first project for Kari’s Purplies and please stop by and see what comes from my crafting fantasies next!!!! Don’t forget to leave some bloggie love and comments as I would love to know what you think!!!!!
God Bless
Hugs, Love, and Pixie Dust

Carolyn

Hi, I’m Carolyn and I’m thrilled at the opportunity to stretch myself and meet new friends by being on Kari’s design team. I live in the North-West of England, am 43 and mother to two teenagers, one of whom has special needs. I started crafting with scrapbooking and soon moved into cards, ATC’s, altered art, and mixed media. I love to combine odd things or use old papers in my projects and love buttons! I am also a keen photographer, studying at the local adult college to learn to use my dslr. In my other time I love to make handmade felt, both art and small gifts and often use small pieces of my felt on cards or in other crafts. I have a great belief that everyone has a creative side to them and that there is great freedom to be found in playing.

My project is an art journal page. This is something of an experiment and a newer field for me. I started with a layer of green paint on a canvass page, and then added distress stain around the edges to tone down the brightness a little. The petals of the flower are cut from old dictionary pages and some are coloured with distress ink and others with writing in sharpie pens. The spikes and centre are made from recycled sari silk yard and an old jeans button. The journaling goes around the edge of the inside petals and talks of the different roles I play, the different parts of my life and how none of them alone says who I really I am. My identity is not in roles or achievements, but as a child of God, loved and created for purpose. Each petal is important, but they make up a much greater whole.
It isn’t a perfect piece of work, it didn’t come out exactly as I planned, but that is life. It is why I believe everyone  can have a go at these things, just pick up a pen or a paintbrush and relax.
Carolyn Phillips :)

Hi my name is Zenita Smith but I'm known around the scrapping world as ScrappinwithZ. I'm a substitute teacher which works great because I have time to do what I love which is Scrapbooking and playing with paper. I started collecting scrapbook products over 10 years ago and then 8 years ago when we received two little boys that we wanted to adopt I started to actually use the products that I had been collecting. Today my 2 older boys plus their wives along with the two boys that we adopted give me plenty of photos to play with. In May we will be getting our first grandchild and I'm sure I will have even more fun there. I'm Copic certified and have fell in love playing with Copic markers and stamps (digital or rubber.)

Please WELCOME these wonderful ladies on my Design Team! :) As always friends thanks for stopping by and have a blessed week! :) hugs

Today I am excited to introduce you to a new Guest Designer that recently joined my Purplies group! :) and she is so sweet and very talented Tina aka Crafty and Green! :) Make sure you give her some love and check out her blog. Now check out below what she did for us today! :)

Tina take it away...

I feel so Blessed to be able to be a Guest Designer for one of my crafty friends, Kari at Purple Funtastick Creations!! I also was supposed to do a Guest Design spot for her Faith Verse Group on Monday, so I decided to combine the two into one project for your viewing pleasure today!

The Theme for January's Purple Funtastick Guest Designers is New Year/Goals/Party/Invite/Party appetizer. As much as a yummy appetizer sounds so appetizing, I'm doing weight watchers and really trying to get healthy, hehe!! So I decided on Goals. One of my goals is to start writing in a prayer journal. I have attempted this many times, but really would like it to work this time. So I thought I'd make a cool Prayer Journal! That's where one of my Favorite Bible Verses come into play!

As Always, I craft as Green as I possibly can!! All of the papers I used for my project are from my scrap bins! The flower I used is from a flower swap I participated in a few months ago (The colors went perfectly!)

Close up of the Bible Verse, Luke 1:46 --Just love this!!

Thank you Kari for Allowing me the Opportunity to Guest Design on your Blog!! I really love this project I did and I hope you enjoyed it as well!! Thanks Again!!

Many Blessings,
Tina

I am a Guest Designer for Her Craftiness Today! :) Jan. 20, 2012

Hello Friends and Welcome to my blog! :)

Today I am a guest designer for my friend and sister Lynne Kirsch at Her Craftiness and today the theme is Winter! woohoo! and of course I have to have purple snow in my dreams...hehe...check out my project below...

I have done a winter card...not sure who I will send this too yet...but I am sure there is someone...

Here is the recipe: Took a beige card stock as my A2 size, then I stamped a Snowman (with one of my fave stamps) on a white cardstock...then I watercolored him...hehe...then cut him out and then popped dotted him on the card...I punched some snowflakes for the card but blinged it out with purple gems (the flakes are not showing up well in the pic)...then I stickled with my grape color for purple snow...so you know it is from me...hehe...I had a small double sided tape (didn't realize I was almost out...oye...sigh) on it originally for purple glitter I had but it didn't stay on too good so I had to re-do it...so this is it ...a simple card hope to get fancy again soon but with a painful shoulder currently it is going to have to be a wait yet...thanks for letting me show you some "purple" snow...and well it is better than "yellow" snow...ugh...

Thank you Lynne for letting me be your guest designer today! as always friends thanks for stopping by and be blessed! :)

Hello Friends and Welcome to my Blog! :) Welcome to my Blogaversary party! :)

Today my friends and I are having a hop to celebrate my one-year anniversary of my blog which is Jan 20th.  I can't believe how fast time has flown by!!  I am thrilled to say that it was an exciting and amazing year...I have met some of the most wonderful friends in the crafty world and there were many that helped me on my crafting journey...thanks to you all! and my followers who supported me and cheered me on as well! I am excited to continue the journey and share with you the amazing talent that is out there as well as my own creations...you are all a blessing! :)

If you came here you started in the right place, because I want you to have a chance to win some blog candy. Don't want to miss the fun either! :) So don't fly away and enjoy sitting on the flower and hopping along the way to some talented designers I know! :)

We have the best sponsors for our hop that will just blow your mind!!!
Shannon Keith Leffew has a gift certificate for flowers in her Etsy Shop Creative Kuts a $20 Gift Card at http://creativekuts.com/     2 birthday cards made by her, Stamp Set from www.gettingcricky.com PLUS $10 Gift Certificate for Little Scraps of Heaven
Positive Thoughs Stamp Set
all that she is asking that you stop by her blog at http://www.scrappingmamma.net/, become a follower if you aren't already at her blog, and leave some bloggie love telling her that you are hopping with Butterfly Kisses Blogaversary.
So, make sure you give bloggy love to all my guest designers and of course me! ...hehe...and have fun hopping along the way.

In case you flew away and went in the wrong direction here is the line up in case you need to fly your way back! :)

So without further ado lets get ready to soar and get the party started.  The only requirement I made for this party was that everyone had to put a butterfly or butterflies in their creation.

Here is my project which I changed to last minute due to some unfortunate happening that we can do without hearing about it...hehe...oye...hope you like that I made a tag! :)

Recipe:  I use this tag from a sizzix die cut from my friend Sis...then I outlined a printed paper to paste on it then I added some fringe, lace ribbon then tied it with a bit of pearl string...then I punched out a butterfly out of a dark pink card stock (not sure where it is from but from my stash) then I blinged it up with Sweet Pea glimmer mist (ty Donna! :) ) and also with some sparkles from CTMH then glued it down on the tag and then added some purple flowers (didn't think I would forget my purple did ya?)  and then I used one of the stamps from my Grunge Inspirations stamp set from Kinderstampo (I just love this set) and embossed the "SOAR" wtih silver embossing and then inked it up with some pink versa mark ink pad then popped dot it on the tag...and then finally pink ribbon in the hole of the tag...voila! pretty simple but pretty I think and it reminds me of spring instead of the winter blues...hehe

Thanks for stopping by as always...and don't forget to give some bloggy love and may you have a blessed day! :) Now your next stop is :  Ashley - http://theglamoroussideofscrapping.blogspot.com

Hello Friends and welcome to my blog!

Since there are two posts today one being my PurpleFuntastick designer and the hop make sure you go to the right post...the one below this hop is my guest designer for the day....thanks! :)

Today we are doing a  Baby Hop for Ashley Gray since she had a wonderful baby boy on January 12, 2012! Congratulations Ashley! :)  If you came from Jen's blog then you are in the right place but if you happened upon my blog please go to the beginning at Ashley's blog.  Don't want you missing a thing! :)

I wanted to do a card and check it out below:

Recipe: I am not a big fan of blue...hehe...so I decided to do something a little different and put a little green and yellow printed paper with blue on it to go with the blue color cardstock but still honor the baby blue! and I stamped the images with dark blue ink pad and the sentiment as well and then also use the stamp on a wht cardstock and inked the edges to give it a boy's touch...like he dirtied it up! hehe...sweet....and then I used my white gel marker pen and touched it up like I sewed it.

Hope you like it and congrats again Ashley! :) hugs

Thanks for stopping by as always and your next stop is :  Indira  blog so don't forget to give the Love and congratulations to Ashley's new arrival! :) hugs and be blessed! :)

PurpleFuntastick Creations Guest Designer - Tuesday Jan. 17, 2012

Hello Friends and Welcome to my Blog! :)

Today is PurpleFuntastick Guest Designer day! and today we have talented Carolyn Phillips....she has an awesome project and her blog is .....      ....so check it out! :)

Carolyn take it away....

I am really pleased to have the opportunity to be guest designer for my friend Kari today, pleased for so many reasons; I am excited at her plans for this coming year and thrilled at the opportunity to be part of them; I love her new year theme this month, it always excites me; I have plans of my own for the year and this project is another step towards them…lots of reasons.

I love New Year because of the thrill of the blank slate, new possibilities, plans and dreams. This time of year is full of hope and adventure. No matter what happened last year or the year before, this year, today, can be different. The rest of our life is waiting. My own plans for the year include pushing at my boundaries, doing new things or old things in new ways. I wanted my project to reflect that so I turned to my felting, and for design started with a sunburst, a symbol of a new day dawning. Then I added in some new things, I used small wool nepps in the background which I have had sitting waiting to be used for ages and never touched, and I experimented with ways to add some dimension to the foreground. As it developed, esp once it started to felt together, I decided it was more like a blooming flower than a sunburst, but the same symbolism can be read there so it doesn’t matter. (And I like projects that start one way and finish another, when they take a life of their own they always seem to come out better!)

I want to encourage you at the start of the New Year to push yourself. Whatever form your creativity takes, and I strongly believe we are ALL creative in some way, try something new. Take a step forward, and then another one. See where you can go. It doesn’t matter what the result it, the adventure is in the trying.

God bless,
Carolyn.

Wow...what an awesome project and thanks Carolyn for all your support! and you are correct sometimes when it starts it isn't what you always have in mind or mistakes are made and well you sometimes have to adapt and sometime it is for the better! :) as always friends thanks for stopping by and come back again and have a blessed day! :)

Faith Verse Guest Designer.... Jan. 16, 2012

Hello Friends and Welcome to my blog! :)

We have Faith Verse Guest designer today! welcome talented and wonderful Tammy Garnett! :) she has an awesome testimony and project...check it out below! :)

Hey Scrappers
This is my first blog post of the year here at PurpleFuntastick and I am excited! I wanted to share with you my favorite bible verses! It is found in Philippians 4:4.."Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say Rejoice." In our daily walk we must learn to Rejoice in Lord always. The Message version of this scripture says Philippians 4:4 MSG
Celebrate God all day, every day. I mean, revel in him!
Well all will encounter trials, heartache and heart break in our lives. But if we learn to celebrate God, He will ease the ache and in rejoicing he can make us whole. We have so much to thank God for. So much to be grateful for. So much to praise Him for. So my challenge to you is to celebrate in spite of! Rejoice in the Lord regardless of what the situation may seem like!
Here is a card with the scripture from Philippians I made to encourage a friend who recently lost her mom. I hope this card will help her to know even after the relatives have left, the flowers have wilted, the sympathy cards have stopped coming.....there are friends in the body of Christ that are still praying for her strength.
So do you have a REJOICE IN YOUR HEART TODAY! I DO!

Thanks friends for always stopping by and I sure will have to remember the word "REJOICE" ...will you do that too! Thanks Tammy for a wonderful card and testimony and so true we have to rejoice in our Savior! :) hugs and thanks for all you and have a blessed week my friends! :)

Valentine's Hop - January 14-15, 2012

Hello Friends and Welcome to my Blog! :)

Today we are celebrating Valentine's Day and one of my favorite holidays of the year...although I am a single mom I am okay with it and I can still share love with my children and friends...maybe God will bless me this year finding me someone I am destined to be with...hehe...now let's get down to business...if you came from Nicollete then you are in the right place but if you have happened upon my blog please start at her blog. :) Don't want you missing a thing! :)

I have decided to do something different...I love to Modge Podge and this is fun and well I was at my dr this morning and stopped by Wal-mart and found this cute wooden heart frame and my mind started taking off and I thought yep especially for 97cents and some embellies and paper I had in my stash this would be a cute project and I was right! :)

Recipe: A wooden frame (mind is has a heart shape), modge podge the paper on the frame...let it dry...then I used stickle glitter glue to make the pretty red and pink swirly all over the frame, then add embellies (stickers, my homemade flowers, gems), stamp some sentiment "i love you, and I added a butterfly of course...hehe...then voila! pretty simple...and I really love this...not sure if I will keep it or not...I really love giving things away...hehe...so we will see what I do...hope you like it and inspired to make your own sweet frame for a few dollars that is a great giving item! :)

Hugs to you and thanks for stopping by my blog and your next stop is talented Gill.

Hello Friends and Welcome to my Blog! :)

I am excited about this blog hop of an oldie but a favorite and it brings back memories for me and my children...check out below the rules and have fun hopping! :) If you start here you are in the right place...hehe...you love me and I know it and thank you! ; but let's get this party started and check it out below!

Don't you just love remembering the Muppet Show that was on TV back in the 80's? Ok, showing my age here but the theme song still runs through my head!!!! The Muppets are just as popular as in the 80's with the movie that came out at Thanksgiving of 2011! The Muppets are Back Together Again. To show tribute to our love of Jim Henson's Muppets, this hop is dedicated to the Muppets Back Together Again!

Sit back and recall your youth of the 80's and remember your favorite Muppet! And we have retro blog candy two 8.5 x 11 tie died paper, two 12 x 12 Groovy Baby tied die paper, Just Add self-stick peace sign gems, Scrappy Cat Peace Sign, Peace, wit bling, and Jolee's by You Dimensional New York Sticker along with a yard of some tie-die ribbon to "tie" your project together!! What a groovy candy for all you special people.

Also, we have some beautiful flowers that Shannon Leffew Keith makes at http://shannonleffew.blogspot.com/
A paper piecing from http://www.paperpiecingsbynikki.com/
Be sure to remark on each of the hops along the way while we show you our favorite Muppet, with your remarks.

Here is the line-up in case you get lost in Vaudville lane...don't want that happening and see some of the fantastic designers and their projects... :)
My favorite Muppet is Gonzo!!! I think he is fun, loveable and sweet and yeppers he has a little purple color on his beak!! hehe

Project: Journal

Recipe: I use a composite book to make a journal book for a sick little boy I know to give him some fun to write in it and or doodle for that matter.  I use a color page and copied him to size to fit the book and trimmed it to fit perfectly...I colored it with my water color pencils which I love to do...feel like a kid again...hehe and then after I colored that I use some stickle on his helmet, stars, and then I used pear stickle on his cape to make it light and real, then I put some Aleene Crafting glue and stick the paper on the book and then I punched a circle to put the little boy's initial to fit it and then inked it up...I wish I would have thought to inked up the edges of the big one but oh well...my brain was fried by this time but I plan on making some more of these to have on hand for other children for my church who get ill and need a little cheering up...and ink it up the next time around...hope you liked it! :).

NOW, it's on with the show with Scooter and Kermit being the emcee . . . just don't pay attention to the hecklers up there in the private booth - they're just too opinated and OLD!!

Your next stop along the Vaudeville show route is :
