I am in two hops today so make sure you are in the right one....thanks...

There's Snow Business like Snow Business with all the friendly snowman putting on a show for you today. All I need is a cane and a top hat to start singing now or be Frosty the Snowman and shout "Happy Birthday"!  It may be Frosty and Cold outside, but its warm inside as long as you stay bundled up sledding through our hop!

We have a wonderful line-up for you to either grab your tobagon, sled, sleigh or ski's to check out the craftiness -- grab that hot cocoa and don't forget the marshmallows AND whipped cream, soft blankie, stay warm and snuggly and check out how we build a snowman before he melts!

Begin at the beginning of building Frosty by stopping by Miss Kari. And here is the list below in case of snowfight ensue...hehe...

Here is my project: I did a simple tag due to my sore shoulder...I took a manilla tag that I won and TH distress with purple ink and then I used a favorite snowman stamp that I have owned forever and stamped on white cardstock and then cut it out and then colored it with my water color pencils and then I stickled the snowman and then used the blue pearl stickle and use that as my snow color although you can't see it well here then also use it on my one small snow stamper and then popped the snowman up on the tag so he can stand out a bit....then used fringes of yarn, twine and voila! :)

We do have some snow candy for you today for stopping by but you need visit all the snow drifts along the way and leaving a warm snuggly comment but just watch out for the yellow snow! Just check out the ribbon, chipboard snowflakes, clear stamp along with a light mauve stamp pad and just some added bling bling and crystal stickles!!!! A great way to build that personal snowman of yours!!!

In the meantime, let's get on with the SNOW . . .
Your next snow drift along the way is talented Susan

I am a Guest Designer for Susan Today !!

Hello Friends and Welcome to my blog!

I am Susan's guest designer today at Susana's Corner and her them for the month is winter/just chillin and I knew I had the great idea of what I wanted to do but um...no...I hand up using something much better! yay! don't you love it when things like that happens you get a little frustrated and then voila! an idea comes to you....well I hope you are all having a great start this new year and One of my goals is to be more crafty and just be in JOY!

Here is my project: I decided to make a cute card that I actually planned to give someone who has to remain anonymous since well she peaks at my blog...hehe...

I used my blue card stock that I brought from my local LSS and then made to A2 size card and took some left over paper that was in my stash...love this snowflake print and I wish I had more but they don't have it anymore at Wal-mart but then again I brought this several years ago on clearance...never can pass a clearance...can you? anyways ...hehe...then I used my new stamp I brought a couple of months ago for 25 cents and yep not kidding at Pat Cattan's store...one of my fave places to shop! :) then I use the stamp on white card stock with Shy Blue from SU for this adorable bird and then colored with my water coloring pencils...so much fun! :) then I used my blue Stickles to fluff the hat and boots..and then I stamped "just chillin" off the corner of the white card stock and cut straight off that to keep that corner look...punches some snow flakes and glitz them up with some gems and voila! :) a card is born! :)

Well I hope you enjoy my cute card and have a blessed New Year my friends and New! :) Thanks again for stopping by and I hope you come back to see what is "chillin" :)

PurpleFuntastick Creations Guest Designer - Tuesday Jan 3, 2011

Hello Friends and welcome to my blog! :)

Today I have my wonderful talented friend Susan Bermudez as my PurpleFuntastick guest! :)  check it out below! :)

Greetings all! Happy 3rd day of the New Year. I am still thinking positively as I am doubly blessed. I was Faith Verse Guest Designer for my dear friend Kari yesterday and today I get to be Guest Designer for her PurpleFuntastick Creations Group. You have to check out her blog HERE as she has the most talented friends (as well as being amazing herself!). Since it was a New Years theme, I had to share this little notecard (that came in a small painters tin) that I got for $3.00 (there were 12 total) from TJ Maxx!!! I love a bargain and new that I would be able to make something fun with these. Well I love the little champagne glass from Simply Charmed. Of course I had to cut it really small (2" to be exact) and my friends will tell you that layering for me is a challenge (I am too fussy). Well, I had to draw in his eyes and such as the cuts were too tiny for the Cricut. I also had to tiny New Year's sentiments but love the colors from the gel pens. Here is the mini notecards. If I had been earlier then I would have made a bunch of these to send :) Here is my mini Happy New Year card:
Thank you to Kari for having me as a Guest Designer today as it is always a blessing. Wishing you all an amazing day. Until next time...

Love this card don't you and to be honest I don't even make a New Year card let alone an invitation! might have to do something about that for next New Year's...hehe...thanks so much Susan for a wonderful card and thanks friends for stopping by today and always I wish you a blessed day friends! :) hugs

Faith Verse Guest Designer.... Jan. 2, 2012

Hello Friends and Welcome to my blog! :)

IT IS 2012!!! oh my goodness how time flies and I hope you had a wonderful New Year bash...and now one of my one goal for this year is to let my guest designers expand their definition of crafts and arts and other mediums to express themselves.  Susan is a very talented designer who can do all kinds of things

Happy New Year everyone! We are 2 days in and I am being optimistic that this year will bring amazing things! I am blessed to be the guest designer over at my dear friend Kari's blog (Purple Funtastick Creations). Our family has been going through some rough situations lately and the following verse has been a source of comfort for me. In God's Word it says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." ~Matthew 11:28.

Well, I was given the New Testament cartridge (with two others) by my family this Christmas. This cartridge has quotes from the Bible and this was PERFECT. I made a Double Dutch fold card from a tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers. I used scrap paper for everything as I tend to go to the scraps first. I love the crosses and the fish on this cartridge too. I can see where I will get lots of use for these. Here is my card, first closed:
And now open:
I made this card for someone special in my life that is going through an extremely difficult time. I pray that he is constantly reminded that he is loved by his family and God especially. I put the purple butterfly as Kari loves them and purple is her favorite color. I hope that you enjoyed my post and I wish you all a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year. Until next time.....

Wow...I think we can use this verse right now even me with the re-injury of my shoulder again...which is painful more than the first time around so hopefully this gets fixed quick...I wish you all a blessed day friends and make sure you come back in tomorrow for Susan is making a two day appearances.  hehe...hugs! :)

Wishing you A Wonderful New Year! Welcome to Jan. 1, 2012

Happy New Year!! woohooo!

Welcome Friends and Welcome to my blog! :)

I am so excited about this New Year and hope it is my best year ever! and I wish you all the abundance of God's blessings and power to you too!! God in his wonderful riches and glory has great plans for your life to prosper you and not let the evil schemes of the enemy win over you!! I am so excited to see what he is going to do for all of us!!! I did not make a craft post here since it is Sunday and everyone is either going to be sleeping or being with friends and family to celebrate the last bit of the Holidays...but I wanted to share with you my personal tidbit and goals and aspirations....I hope you bear with me and read it for what it is worth.

I am amazed by the friends I have made in the crafty world...I have been blessed by the most amazing talent I have come across and continue to do so...I am so impressed with the kindness and the love and the care that is shown to me and others through the crafting community.  May we continue to bless each other as we go along in our crafting aspirations and journey to explore out of our comfort zone as well.  I am excited to be taught as well as to teach others through this amazing craft! I am looking forward to new products, and new crafting experience and new ways to use up the stash...hehe...and yet be creative in my own right like you...

I am also amazed by the Lord's love and how it is just beyond what I can contain in my heart and soul. How His love is so vast and yet so steadfast even in my worst self and my sins.  I know that he is an almighty God and he loves me more than I can fathom and show to the world...you have to know him to even get a glimpse of his great love.  That is my sincerest prayer that you have a Savior in your life this coming year and be blessed beyond measure.

I wanted to share with you one of my scriptures that I love: Psalm 25:4-5
Show me your ways, O Lord,
teach me your paths,
guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are my God and Savior,
for my hope is in you all day long.

It reminds of who is my Master and my love! and yet he guides and gives hope and help us live!

I am going to be making some changes to my blog and the tentative schedule as I see fit and follow God's guidance to be more faith based as well as general.  I am having some big surprises coming up in the following couple of months at the first of the year which will also be my personal DT.  They will be introduced in January.  I have another surprise but I can't reveal till all the details and other things get settled away but you are going to love it! I promise! hehe...gotta have some suspense you know... :)

I am also going to be involved in some more personal ministries as God has called me to do and I will be sharing them here as well so you can take a part of my journey.  I am a licensed Lay Minister and was just approved as a Local Minister in the church.  I am excited to see where God is going to take me next.  I pray that you pray for me as I go on this new journey in my life.

My son will be graduating this year and another chapter of my life is unfolding as a empty nester but I am okay with it just may get lonely sometimes...but I have two boys that I can't be prouder of and love them very much.

I am excited to see what you will do in the next year and I pray that you would share with me what is going on in your life...I am doing a 52 Weeks of Me and My One Word.  It is a journey of self and yet going in the direction that God has called me to do.  I am recording it and will share something every now and then ...so please if you want to join me let me know.  I will be glad to help you and support you.

Also, please be in prayer for me as I have re-injured myself in the shoulder again in less than 7 months since surgery on my rotator cuff and in the same area they think I have pulled a muscle and it is very painful...it took me 3 days to type this thing...sheesh...but I got it done! Amen!

Now that this is a New Day of the New Year ...Let's Do This Thing! and be blessed my friends! :) hugs!

FaItH SoNgS For His Glory Guest Designer - Dec. 28, 2011

Hello Friends and Welcome to my blog! :)

I hope you are all excited about the upcoming new year! I know I am ...and I wish you all the most blessed one yet! :) Today I have my wonderful guest designer Carolyn Phillips...she is so talented and does great stuff and I just love her tag she made the other day well she is my Faith Songs guest today so yeppers....twice this week! hehe Enjoy her creativity and give her some bloggy love!

This simple two verse hymn is by Joseph Hart, 1759 and for me is always reminiscent of this time of year. As a child I was brought up in a Methodist church in the heart of Lancashire and it was traditional for us to sing this hymn to welcome in the New Year, at midnight service, on New Years day, or on the last/first Sunday of the year. The simple words have remained with me and the reminder of who it is I trust and worship; His unending love and power; His faithfulness; His guiding presence; all help me to ensure I start the year, the month, the week, the day off right, with thankfulness and trust.
How good is the God we adore,
Our faithful unchangeable Friend!
His love is as great as His power,
And knows neither measure nor end!
’Tis Jesus the First and the Last,
Whose Spirit shall Guide us safe home,
We’ll praise Him for all that is past,
And trust Him for all that’s to come.
My project is part of my desire to get myself a little more organised, and is a simple homemade clipboard. I started with a piece of card, bigger than A4 and first covered it in small pieces of green patterned paper, using lots of scraps. Then I added a layer of vintage photo distress stain. When dry this was followed by a layer of tissue (facial tissue, separated into layers!) that had been stamped on with various stamps. All this was stuck down with cheap pva glue. When the tissue layer was dry I rubbed in some iced-spruce distress ink and added various words from the hymn with different alpha stickers. The whole thing is protected with a layer or two of quick drying varnish and finished with the securely glued on addition of two bulldog clips and a little embellishment in the form of cogs, because this is a working tool! The cogs were carefully added where they will mainly be outside of a standard sized piece of paper in the clips.

May we all know God’s goodness in the coming year.

Wow...what awesome song...and I never heard this before but I love it! Thanks so much Carolyn for being my wonderful guest designer this week and sharing your creativity and heart!! :) Hugs!
Make sure you all come back again and I am going to be making some changes to my blog and update the tentative schedule and want to do a goal of at least everyday of my blog to have something here for you all! yeppers...more creativity is happening! :) woohooo!
