Guest Designer Tuesday - Jan. 10, 2011

Hello Friends and welcome to my blog!

If you haven't noticed but I got a new updated button and please take it for yourself to add to yours! I love it and my dear friend Christel did it for me...she knows me well...hehe...got two of my favorite things on it...purple and butterfly! :) Thanks so much Christel! :) hugs...now unto business ...today I have my guest designer day and today it is my dear friend/sister Lynne Kirsch from Her Craftiness ...I have her button on my side bar ...check it out...and her project for the day below...

Just imagine, I the Guest Designer for my dear friend and sister, Kari Sanchez, today. Her theme for January is New Year, Goals, Party, Invite, or Party Appetizer. Well, these themes in mind, I thought I would create a party invitation. Now, mind you, not just any invitation. I will be reaching a milestone on January 28th and will turn 60!!!! There is a blog hop commemoration of my birthday with Lynne's Mad Hatter 60th Birthday Tea Party on January 28th and 29th. WELL . . . I am making an invitation to invite each and everyone one of you to attend my tea party! Don't forget to get your white gloves, hat and of course, practice drinking your tea holding out your pinky finger!!!

For my invitation, I have used the SVG Attic Mad Hatter Tea Party invitation which is a pocket watch which was cut out of gold card stock with the lettering, clock hands, and numbers in black on white card stock!!!! The front and back of the clock is held together with a brad! This was cut at 6-inches!

Check it out and don't be late as it is a very important date!!! There will be tea, crumpets, tea and of course blog candy!!! Be there or "off with your head"! Ok, just kidding, wouldn't be doing that to my wonderful friends!

Thanks Kari for allowing me to be your special Guest Designer today and hope you enjoyed my pocket watch invitation!

God bless my bloggie friends

Thanks so much Lynne and what a cute project! :)

Thanks for stopping by today and as always may God bless you! :)

There is No Business like Snow Business Blog Hop - Jan 7, 2012

Hello Friends and Welcome to my blog! :)

I am in two hops today so make sure you are in the right one....thanks...

There's Snow Business like Snow Business with all the friendly snowman putting on a show for you today. All I need is a cane and a top hat to start singing now or be Frosty the Snowman and shout "Happy Birthday"!  It may be Frosty and Cold outside, but its warm inside as long as you stay bundled up sledding through our hop!

We have a wonderful line-up for you to either grab your tobagon, sled, sleigh or ski's to check out the craftiness -- grab that hot cocoa and don't forget the marshmallows AND whipped cream, soft blankie, stay warm and snuggly and check out how we build a snowman before he melts!

Begin at the beginning of building Frosty by stopping by Miss Kari. And here is the list below in case of snowfight ensue...hehe...

Here is my project: I did a simple tag due to my sore shoulder...I took a manilla tag that I won and TH distress with purple ink and then I used a favorite snowman stamp that I have owned forever and stamped on white cardstock and then cut it out and then colored it with my water color pencils and then I stickled the snowman and then used the blue pearl stickle and use that as my snow color although you can't see it well here then also use it on my one small snow stamper and then popped the snowman up on the tag so he can stand out a bit....then used fringes of yarn, twine and voila! :)

We do have some snow candy for you today for stopping by but you need visit all the snow drifts along the way and leaving a warm snuggly comment but just watch out for the yellow snow! Just check out the ribbon, chipboard snowflakes, clear stamp along with a light mauve stamp pad and just some added bling bling and crystal stickles!!!! A great way to build that personal snowman of yours!!!

In the meantime, let's get on with the SNOW . . .
Your next snow drift along the way is talented Susan
