Guest Designer for Crafty and Green! :) April 26, 2012

Hello Friends and Welcome to my Blog! :)

Thanks for stopping by and today I am a guest designer for Tina aka Crafty and Green...her and I share a common thing that we both love to re-purpose and use what we have to craft and be creative!!! :)  Today I am using a sketch she has for the April Challenge and check it out below and you will see what I mean...it was a toughie for me but I love a challenge!  ;) hehe...so check out below what I have made...and don't forget to go to her blog and leave us both some Love!! :)

I had these ice cream bucket pails that I was saving for a reason and well when I was praying something came to my mind when God spoke to my heart about forgiveness...we had an interesting talk and well before I get carried away let me get to the bucket which by the way I call my Forgiveness Pail...I decided to trace the circle of one of my papers that came from the Scrapbook & Collage Papers book (European Collection) from my friend Donna gave me a while back which I love!! :) Thanks Donna ...again...hehe...I used the lid of the bucket to trace for my circle on the printed paper and then I cut some pretty cardstock that I had on hand...olive green and this peachy sort of color (looks like a very light orange too! ) ...then cut them in 4 strips of each to criss cross like the sketch and then I cut the triangle from another printed paper which is actually on the back of the circle print I cut out and then used a cardstock to thicken up the triangle to make it sturdy...then I had some left over t-shirt that I used to make some flowers the other day and thought one of the flowers would be perfect for the circle shape and then I used one of my favorite Verve stamp for the sentiment..."Be strong and take heart all you who hope in the Lord."  Psalm 31:24  I used my SU Terra Cotta color to stamp it and inked it up around the edges after I cut out the square shape and cut out another square of the Olive green to back that up...and voila!  :) Hope you like my take on the sketch and I hope you were challenged to re-purpose and have your take on the sketch challenge!! :)

Click on the pics to enlarge to see better ! :)

As I have said this is my forgiveness basket ...I put in pieces of paper people who have hurt me or something I need to let go of and write it down and throw it in there to get rid of the baggage...and NOT take it up again...we can't hold onto the hurts and the junk that goes along with it...it is not good for our well-being and hurt just makes us heart sick as well as it can manifest itself physically....it also affects our other decisions and actions we make in our lives...I pray that you find a way to deal with the hurts and the past and just throw it away in your "bucket" and be free of what holds you down...we were not meant to carry a mantle ...God wants us to be full of joy that surpasses all understanding and have good health and be an example to others about forgiving ...I am a Pastor but I am still human and we all make mistakes ...I know I have inflict pain and I regret those times...but I learn like everyone else...and we have to move on and not keep harping on it or ourselves.  I pray that you are able to let God work on your heart and heal you inside and out!! He can if you let him and his grace is wonderful! I praise Him for all he does for me and he will do the same for you and you will be free...trust me that letting go is freeing..He does know what is best! :) Amen...

Have a blessed day you all and thanks again for listening and stopping by...

Hi Everyone!

Happy Thursday!!

Today I am honored to be a guest designer for Kari~over at Purple Funtastick Creations

Kari asked me to share a recent Mini Album that I made that she just loves and wanted me to share with everyone how I made it..I hope you all love it too..

(Not sure why this is showing up blurry because the original pic doesn't do this...sorry)

(2nd part of the album below)
First of all~I found this tutorial while cruising you tube one night and so to give credit where credit is due..Here is the link for the mini album..

Tag Book With Dawn

Recipe

2 pieced of card stock cut at 6x6

Place a sticky strip along one side of each piece of paper.

Accordion piece cut at 4x6 and scored at every 1/2"

Cut 9 tags at 4x2 (2 coordinating colors)

Cut tags angels on 1 and then line the rest up to cut them, this

will help them all match.

Please watch the video to explain how to put the tags in your mini album.

Decorate

For My Mini Album

I used SEI Chocolate Cherie for the outside of the book

For my Outside Frame I used my new Elegant Edges Cartridge-I love this cart! It

has so many amazing frames to use. I also used it to cut out my frames for inside.

My outside frame is cut twice and it is cut at 4.75

Love Sentiment is on the Sweetheart Cartridge cut at 2.50

Ribbon from my Stash

Stickles

Rachelle

I am Guest Designer for Susana's Corner! April 5th, 2012

Hello Friends! and Welcome to my Blog! :)

Today I am a guest designer for my wonderful friend Susan at Susana's Corner! Today I did an Easter card in celebration of my Risen Lord!! :) I hope you enjoy it...recipe down below.

Here is my card...

I used a light purple cardstock...used my Inkadinkado stamp for the Sentiment and the cross which I colored with my water color pencils and used pop up dots on the back of it to stand it out a bit on the beautiful lace ribbon I got from Oooh La La Vintage (which is on my sidebar you can go to visit and their shop! ) as well as the beautiful flower with lace doily and purple leaf that has a vintage take on it...then I used two butterflies that were given to me from someone from a hop and I can't remember who...grrr But the person was so sweet!! :)  and it is with two diff shades of purple...so pretty I wish you could see them in person it is just beautiful and how neat they were made.  Voila! pretty simple...I had to re-do it several times for it wasn't what my vision was but I still like how it turned out...Happy Easter to all of you and I pray that you know the Lord Jesus in your life.

Thanks Susan for having me as your guest designer today and it was wonderful to be back again! :)
Have a blessed day friends and don't forget the love! :)
