Thankful Faith Blog Hop - Nov. 25-27, 2011

LinkHello Friends and Welcome to my blog! :)

Today I am in two hops so make sure you get to the right one and scroll down for Tanya's Surprise Birthday Party.

Well this is the Thankful Faith Blog Hop and I am thrilled to be participating in this one and there is so many things to be thankful for and how blessed I am beyond measure is understatement. I am excited and some exciting changes are coming up for me in my life next year...will tell more about that later when I know more details. I am so thankful mostly and first is for my Lord Jesus and Savior! :) Now check out what Nana has to say today....

Welcome to our monthly Faith Blog Hop! We are delighted that you have decided to join us and are praying that the Lord would impact your life through what we have to share with you. If you came from Nana's blog you are in the right place. This month's hop is focused on "Being Thankful, even when life gives you no reasons". Our prayer is that you are blessed, touched, moved, and inspired to look at what we have to share and decide to make it your own. We are opening up the challenge so that you can share your projects with us as well, and cannot wait to see what you will create. Throughout the hop you will find many RAK's, so please feel free to leave comments about your reactions, and thoughts. We love to hear from you!

Now to the hop:

Here are the bold and beautiful women who will participate this month:

Thanksgiving has become almost a "cliche" in America. Every year more and more commercial items are sold for this Holiday, yet the very essence of what Thanksgiving Day should be about is lost. We are not truly Thankful for much, since our lives are filled with complaints, worries, and stress; and to top it off, the Holidays are a cruel reminder of people that we have lost, or failures that have taken over our lives, or just plain melancholy. ( I wonder how many of you are now shaking your head...)

The question then becomes: How do I change this attitude? Is it possible to be thankful in the midst of the hard circumstances? Is it possible to be thankful when life gives you NO reasons to be thankful? I wonder how many of you identify with this song:

The Answer to the questions above is a RESOUNDING YES! The truth of the matter is that even though everything is taken from you, even if your very life is at stake, the fact that you have breath and are alive is worthy of saying thanks. This because in still having breath, you can hold on to the hope that the Lord still is working something GOOD for your life (Romans 8:28)

If you are anything like me (who has struggled with depression) you might be feeling that your very life is what you DO NOT want - and so it is difficult for you to have a sense of gratitude even for the smallest things that come with being alive. If that is you, consider the promises the Lord puts in His Word! The Bible declares that the Lord cannot lie, so no matter in what season of your life you find yourself in, consider the prayers uttered in this song, and the great reminder of what the Word of God has to say about each of these circumstances. You will find hope and reasons to be thankful even when life itself hands you no reasons!

May the Lord bless you and keep you! May His face shine upon you!

I decided to make a Scripture Saying Easel as a thing to remind me of what God offers me for my Thankful project. I thought it be kewl to remind myself that he has given me the power, strength, love and self-discipline to do what I need to do in my life and go forth with a positive and active attitude. He has blessed me beyond measure but he also gave me the tools to be thankful everyday no matter the circumstances. The bible is full of his instructions and He is there to walk with us through life's crazy days. I love this scripture 2 Timothy 1:7. It reminds me how to face fear and to walk with his strength and face things head on and also to know that my self-control and my attitude makes a major difference how I react to situations and towards people even those I don't like very well and being thankful for the situation at hand. We have to be THANKFUL for EVERYONE and EVERYTHING! And that is where self-discipline also comes in again...I have to discipline myself how to be positive and not be filled with negativity and all that other stuff that Satan likes to pull on us to deceive us and you I am sure know what I am talking about...filling the mind with negative self talk and emotions at other people to lash out and give up. But we were not equipped with this...that is not God's way...he is of Love and gentleness....I love HIS attributes and so thankful for those! I am so thankful for HIS Words! Thankfulness shows us to Him our faith and our character. We represent him...and we should be thankful for all he does! :) Thankful we are made in HIS image and so much more...he loved us to let Jesus die for us that alone is a lot to be thankful for. So lets lift up our hands in praise and be thankful to him everyday and not just once a year at blessed my friends.

Recipe...Purple (Plum) cardstock and printed paper from my the stash...and then the image is from Dee's Bugaboo Boutique ..(she has some great images for Free on Tuesdays to download) and then I colored with diff shades of purple water color pencils...(you got to know that I love purple and since it is for me for once I am going with that...hehe) and then I used my clear glitter stickles to pop up the major words to highlight it then embellish with a butterfly of course... and the put it all on the card to make it pretty to look at everyday....

Thanks for being with us. Feel free to create a project and post it over on Paper Tree House Studio. We would love to bless you! :)

Hop on over to Christel's blog to continue with your journey of Thankfulness... ;)

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy hopping today and I would like to have you make one comment what you are most thankful for this year and I wish you many Thanksgiving blessings as well as a wonderful Thanksgiving ever! :)

In His Love,

Be Inspired,

Kari, thanks so much for your words. We indeed are in victory. God gave us a strong spirit, filled with love and self-discipline. Thanks for writing this. I too need to remind that myself, every time satan wants to bring me down.

God bless you!

Beautiful project Kari! I love that verse too - it really makes you think doesn't it? I have so much to be thankful for. In these hard times, I am thankful that I have a job and that my husband has a job and we have a roof over our head and food to eat. In these times, it seems there are so many people out of work and barely making it. We don't have a lot, but we have what we need and we trust that God will provide and He does. I am thankful also for this hop that you ladies do every month - they always lift me up and convict me at the same time reminding me that I am not walking as close as I should be. Thanks for sharing your sweet project.
