Hello Friends!
Here I am again in another blog hop ...I am so excited this is a new one for me and I finally got to try these stamps...and these were fun!!! But before I get carried away I am in several blog hops this weekend so make sure you are at the right one otherwise scroll down for Thank the Troops Blog Hop if you want to go there otherwise this is the right place if you are checking out Creative EdVentures Blog Hop and I am thrilled to be a part of this party!! I felt like a kid doing these stamps....it is fun to color...I used my water color pencils ...check it out below....Thanks Roberta for letting me a part of this exciting new EdVenture ;) and I look forward to doing more for you in the future!! :)
All weekend, starting at 9 A.M. Eastern time ( 6 AM Pacific, 7 AM Mountain, 8 AM Central) we invite you to visit our blog and all the blogs of all the designers to see what beautiful creations they have for you to enjoy.
Sue Miller and Queen Kat Designs are generously sponsoring this hop and you have a chance to win some wonderful blog hop candy after you visit. Some of the participating designers will ALSO have blog candy of their own to give you.
We just hope you take the time to visit everyone on the list and see what they have made for you.
What do you have to do to be eligible for the main prizes??
Visit every designer on the list - Become a Follower of their blog (not mandatory, but always welcome)
Leave a comment on their blog hop entry.
*Note; if an individual designer is offering candy JUST for their blog, make sure you follow whatever rules they have on their blog.
When you have visited ALL the designers, you will return HERE to the Creative EdVentures homepage and Leave a Comment here about the Hop, certain designers, Sue Miller's images..
We love feedback and want to know what you thought of our first hop.
The HOP will run from 9 am Saturday and end at midnight on Sunday (give or take an hour or two) :)
Prize winners will be drawn Tuesday June 21st and announced by Wednesday June 22nd.
We will post the winners names and comments HERE on our homepage.
Good news~ Unlike many other blog hops, we WILL contact YOU if you win. Just make sure you include your email addy in any comment you leave. Individual designer blog prizes will be handled by them personally and not through Creative EdVentures.
Here is my card I made with the digi stamps and the recipe below it....I hope you enjoy my card and be inspired to try digi stamps like I did...I promise you will have fun!
The digi stamp is the Girl Knock at Door ...I use all of my water coloring pencils to color it since I don't own very many markers (although my dream is to own some Copics soon) and then I embossed several areas of the green with green embossing powder and then I stickled most of the flowers with several colors I own mostly red, pink and yellow. Then I add a pretty pink ribbon and embellish the bow with sticky gems like I did on the right side on bottom of card.
Then I put a butterfly in the midst of that climbing greenery. I wanted to make it look old fashion and I think I accomplished that.
Thanks for checking out my card and I will have two more new cards to show you tomorrow. And of course you want to see what the Blog candy looks like since I have not posted a pic of it yet...giggles....
Thanks for stopping by...and you didn't think I would forget blog candy didn't you ...giggles...please make a comment and leave y0ur email otherwise I will have to draw another name and please become a follower if you want and grab my button if you have a blog of your own and I would be tickled purple!! :)
Have a blessed weekend! :)
In His Love,
Be Inspired,
Kari

How pretty....Just love all the little extra touches ♥
Hi Kari~Well,I think you accomplished your idea with your card.It does look old fashioned to me!!!I just recently started to use water color pencils and I am having a lot of flubs but a few non-flubs...LOL!!!My passion is card making for about 5 years now.Since then I have sent out hundreds of cards to comfort a grieving family, thinking of you and some of the other occasions.I read your,"About Me" and I think you and I have been directed to the same path to walk. The sign says,"Make and send cards to those in need of a kind word".~~~~~I lost my 26 year old son,David,to cancer on Dec.2,2005.So I know how much this work of kindness is appreciated as our family got many cards of comfort when he passed.A few were homemade and those were made with love. That's my mission in David's memory...to make and send cards of comfort at just the right time for it.Kari...may you be blessed for your efforts.Sincerely,Sandra

Hi Kari The first thing I noticed was the green frame around the edge of the card which gave it a sort of 3d effect for me and it certainly looks old fashioned so i think you have achieved what you wanted to. Very nice use of colours there . :0)

Very beautiful card. It reminds me of a 'once upon a time' kind of story. Awesome colors, I'll bet it's even more beautiful in person.

That's a lovely card. Beautiful job!
Beautiful card love the ribbon :)
Nice use of colors.
Kari, very nice card. Nice to see someone using something other than Copics to color their creations. Not everything has to have fancy products used on it.
